Jay Ward is originally from Buffalo, NY. He began acting in high school. He has appeared in several small independent films; “Silence”, “2K3”, “Algeny”, “Catching the Fever” and “The Secret Game” (ESPN Classic) only to name a few.
His television appearances include “Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt” (Netflix), “Elementary” (CBS), “Person of Interest” (CBS), “Arrested Development” (FOX) and “Law & Order” (NBC). He has also been seen in a few commercials.
Mr. Ward was nominated for a 2011 Audelco Award for Best Supporting Actor, for his role as Kid Welpool in the play, Cool Blues (New Federal Theater). Other stage credits include: Godsteeling (Theater 54), Billy, The Kid and Oyamo’s, The Breakout (Flea Theater, NYC), Black Stuff (NYC Fringe Festival), Wine In The Wilderness (New Day Repertory), MacBeth (Circle in the Square), and Riff Raff by Laurence Fishburne (Nuyorican Poets CafĂ©), a play in which Mr. Ward also produced.
Jay is a graduate of Circle in the Square Theater School, has a B.A. from Colgate University, and a M.S. from the University of Buffalo.
