
The testimony of the title comes from a young black woman, Jacintha (Sonita Surratt), being held in a New York City prison on a murder charge. A white psychiatrist (Julie Bray-Morris) is interviewing Jacintha. The session is audiotaped by a black technician (Mantee M. Murphy) while a white technician (Marty Liquori) makes a videotape that can be seen on two monitors.
