Ruby Dee developed this one woman show based on an her anthology, “My One Good Nerve”, published in 1987. The show presents her poems, autobiographical stories, and character pieces and provides many glimpses into her memories and convictions.
The show premiered at Seattle’s ACT in 1996; this appears to be the second production. Ms. Dee went on to tour this widely across the country.
