The time is 1959. Davis plays blues guitarist and hobo Fishy Waters (loosely based on Muddy Waters, one would assume) who welcomes us into his backyard to tell tall tales and jokes from the rich African American oral tradition, reminisce upon his life on the road, and, most of all, perform a combination of Delta, Texas, and ragtime blues songs.
