Tommy Redmond Hicks (1962-) was born in Tokyo, Japan as Noriko Nagai. He is an actor and director, most widely known for his roles in independent feature films like Spike Lee’s She’s Gotta Have It, Julie Dash’s Daughters of the Dust and Charles Burnett’s The Glass Shield.
Hicks has also toured nationally and internationally with Broadway and off-Broadway plays such as “What the Winesellers Buy” and “The King Trilogy.”
His television work includes guest starring on dramas like “L.A. Law,” “Chicago Hope,” “Martin,” “The Parenthood” and “Seinfeld.” Hicks also lectures on film, television and theatre at universities throughout the country.
