Rosemary Foley

Rosemary Foley has written over 70 plays, most of them satires and comedies. She won the 2004 Havemeyer award in Greenwich, CT, for Ophelia’s Mother. She was also a finalist at the 2004 Samuel French Off-Broadway Festival and a finalist for the Heideman award at the Actor’s Theatre of Louisville’s Humana Festival, Victory Gardens Theatre, West Coast Ensemble Theatre, and Theatre-by-the-Sea. Rosemary was a winner of the International Festival of New Works at University of Cincinnati “Works by Women” chose her as one of its ten best writers. While her plays are frequently performed in New York, local audiences often get to see them first in Connecticut, at the annual Theatre Artists’ Workshop Playwright Festival. Rosemary is a member of Dramatist Guild of America.
