Marshall Spiller graduated from Yale Drama School in 1971, and has worked on Broadway, off-Broadway, and in regional theater. Broadway credits include A Taste of Honey (1981) and Trick (1979). Off-Broadway credits include Roundabout, Westside Arts Theater Company, Theatre Four, and the Lucille Lortel Theatre.
From 1974-81 he was the resident lighting designer for the Whole Theatre Company in Montclair, New Jersey where he designed more than 20 plays, and from which he won the New Jersey Drma Critics annual Best Designer Award.
