Kene Holliday

Kenneth Earl Holliday who is famous as Kene Holliday is an American actor best known for appearing as Ben Matlock’s private investigator, Tyler Hudson, in the legal drama, Matlock. Also, he is known for appearing on ABC’s sitcom, Carter Country as Sgt. Curtis Baker.

Kene Holliday was born on June 25, 1949, in Copiague, Suffolk County, New York. He was raised in a Christian home with a Baptist family. When he was 12 years old, his father passed away. His mother died in December 2010 at the age of 85 due to Alzheimer’s disease.

Talking about education, he completed his schooling from Copiague High School in 1967. During his high school days, he was very good at football due to which he got a full scholarship at the University of Maryland. But later on, he turned his passion for acting after his football career didn’t work as he wanted.

Following his graduation, he worked with a theater group at the Folger Shakespeare Library in Washington. Also, he was a founding member of the D.C. Black Repertory Company.

At 70 years old, Kene Holliday is leading a happy married life with his longtime wife, Linda Copling. They shared the wedding vows on April 6, 1996, after a year of relationship. Following his marriage, he became a Christian Evangelist and spent over a decade traveling around the US spreading the word of God through gospel musicals.

He started his acting career back in 1971 and has been able to bag more than 60 acting credits. He made his debut in the series, Love, American Style and since then appeared in several movies and TV series. His most notable recognition to this date is as Tyler Hudson in Matlock.
