There is a Katie Love who recorded the original “It Hurts So Good” on Muscle Shoals Sound Records in 1971. It was not a hit. A few years later, Millie Jackson re-recorded the same tune and took it to #3 on the Soul charts.
Frankly, we’re not sure if this is the same Katie Love who performed with In the House of Blues, We’ll try to confirm.
