Ann Bowen has directed numerous plays for Michael Horn and the Michael Chekhov Theatre Company. Among the highlights of the ongoing Sam Shepard Festival were revivals of “Simpatico,” “Geography of a Horse Dreamer,” and “True West.” For MCTC Ann has also directed plays by Bertolt Brecht, David Mamet, George Bernard Shaw, Sean O’Casey, and Martin McDonagh.
On the West Coast she staged the works of Athol Fugard, Harold Pinter, and Molière at such theatres as the Berkeley Repertory Theater, the Los Angeles Theatre Centre, the Matrix Theatre Company, the Odyssey Theatre Company, and the Mark Taper Forum.
