I have been acting for more than 20+ years, mostly in the theatre. I am versatile in my craft and I love the joy of acting. I have a BFA & MFA in Acting and utilize my time when I am not acting by directing. I hail from a clan of 10 beautiful souls including my mother and late father…we were known as ‘the black Waltons’ to some.
Lastly, being a parent myself, has only increased the never-ending debt of appreciation for my own parents and all they sacrificed to raise 8 children with little resources but with an abundance of love and humility. All of these threads shape who I am as an actor and director.

Regional Theatre includes Florida Rep, Connecticut Rep, The Berkshire Theatre Festival, and the National Black Theatre Festival.
Mary earned a BFA in Acting from Virginia Commonwealth University, and an MFA from the University of Connecticut.
