Adam R. Deremer is a director, actor, and teaching artist based in New York City. He is a native of Northern Virginia, just outside of Washington D.C. Adam is a graduate of the University of the Arts, graduating with Honors and recipient of the Theatre Ensemble Award. Also while at UArts, Adam attended the Interdisciplinary Collaborative at the Liverpool Institute of Performing Arts in Liverpool, England.
Adam has worked in New York, Philadelphia, the Washington DC area, and internationally, as well as on film and television. He has also worked as an acting and speech instructor since 2003 with various training programs, including The New Acting Company and the University of the Arts. Adam has trained with artists from The Royal Shakespeare Company, the Atlantic Theater Company, Pig Iron Theatre Company, and more. Currently, Adam is Artistic Director of Teatro delle Due, based in Reggio Emilia, Italy, where he has been working since 2007. Teatro delle Due is an international theater program focused on bringing American actors to Italy to present original language Shakespeare to Italian audiences.
