Phyllis Yvonne Stickney is an actress, comedian, poet, playwright, producer, and motivational speaker best known for her television and film roles in the late 1980s and 1990s
Born on Oct. 28, 1930, Stickney is the second child born to Felix and Belle. Before moving to Phyllis’s current city of Houston, TX, Phyllis lived in Manhattan.
She is also an accomplished stage performer and has received two AUDELCO Awards for Excellence in Black Theater.
She portrayed Wanda Shepard in Die Hard with a Vengeance and performed with the late John Candy,
Ms. Stickney is also a motivational speaker and published author and poet.
