Ramon Melindez Moses came up in the early 1990s. He appeared in Ensemble Studio Theatre’s Marathon Festival in 1991. The Lortel Archive lists him as performing in the Young Playwrights Festival at Playwrights Horizons (1993), The Arabian Nights at NY City Center (1994), and Por’Knockers at the Vineyard Theatre.
He worked regionally at the Court Theater (Chicago, 1992) and Crossroads (New Brunswick, NJ, 1996). He won a Helen Hayes Award Nomination for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Resident Play at the Signature Theater in Arlington, VA, for Otabenga.
