Female singer and dancer Irene Datcher first came to prominence in the role of Agatha in the 1976 Broadway revival of Guys and Dolls, appearing in the cast recording release by Motown. She toured with David Murray’s Big Band, as a vocalist, played at The Public Theater and in Washington, DC in 1978.
She recorded in multiple records often as a backup vocalist.
In 2000, she appeared in a program entitled Sketch for an Urban Ode With Rap and Jazz.
