Thomas Pinnock (aka Thomas Osha Pinnock) was best known as a lead dancer and choreographer.
He performed both roles for The Jamaica National Dance Theatre Company, which played at BAM in April, 1973. By September of the same year, he was a soloist with the NYC-based Rod Rodgers Dance Company.
Skip forward 20 years, and he was Choreographer for a 1994 Movie, Alma’s Rainbow.
Sometime in the 1990s, he recast his performing under the rubric of a “Jamaican Storyteller/Performer”. This is image is from a 2000 movie he made of his storytelling.
