Stanley Brechner was born on April 11, 1944 in New York City. He was educated at Hunter College, receiving his BA in 1964, and a Master of Arts in Theater in 1972.
He is best known as Artistic Director of New York’s American Jewish Theatre from 1974 through 2002 and Chicago’s National Jewish Theatre from 1986-87.
