TV and film character actor David Connell died on May 11 in Los Angeles. He was 77.
Born in Cleveland, Ohio, Connell began his career at the historic Karamu House, the oldest African-American theater in the United States. He moved to New York and worked in theater before moving to Los Angeles to pursue film.
The actor made his mark in the 1981 horror thriller, “Wolfen,” before transitioning to television. He appeared in episodes of “Boston Legal,” “NYPD Blue,” “City of Angels,” “Arli$$” and “Martin.” He was most recently seen in Showtime’s “The United States of Tara.”
